2022-2023 Percussion Events

January 24: A-State Faculty Recital

7:30pm, Fowler Center- Dr. Brian Graiser presents "Then and Now," a percussion recital featuring works for solo percussion and chamber ensemble by J.S. Bach, James Beale, Johanna Beyer, Brian Graiser, and Stuart Saunders Smith.

January 28: Music Department Auditions

February 9: Faculty Showcase Concert (featuring REFLECT harp+percussion)

7:30pm, Fowler Center- The REFLECT harp+percussion duo (Drs. Alaina and Brian Graiser) join other members of the A-State Music Department faculty in a varied program of solo and chamber music.

March 2: Dr. Matthew Holm

7:30pm, Fine Arts Center Recital Hall- Dr. Matthew Holm (Kent State University) performs music from his latest percussion album

March 11: Music Department Auditions

March 30: Percussion Ensemble Concert

7:30pm, Fowler Center- The University Percussion Ensemble and Red Wolf Percussion Group are joined by the Rivercrest High School Percussion Ensemble and other special guests in their program "East Meets West," featuring classical/contemporary and non-Western music by composers Michael Barnhart, Bob Becker, John Cage, Henry Cowell, Lou Harrison, Stuart Saunders Smith, Toru Takemitsu, Austin Wrinkle, and more.

April 3: A-State Student Recital

5:00pm, Fine Arts Center Recital Hall- Senior percussionist Joshua Huffstutler presents his degree recital.
